Munchy's boss passed away this morning. He was a good friend of my Dad and we always pay him a visit during our trip to Batu Pahat(Malaysia). He was a man of great munificence. Helping people, buying them lands and homes, asking for nothing in return. His decease is quite a great blow for my Dad as he spends quality time with him almost every other weekend. They even discuss their problems and their fervour for antiques.
How do you define 'life with meaning'? I guess this is largely subjective. While some of us may think that a fulfilling life would be one filled with your Yves Saint Laurents, Chanels, Guccis etcetra.. These people are being conquered by materialism, living in a world of glitz and posh. After all the glow has died down, what's really left of us is dust. Whether you want to die and be remembered as a selfish person, a glamorous diva or an altruistic individual, you craft your own fate. It's not just kismet per se, up to the heavens that kind of creed.
After giving much though, I think my kind of definition is finishing what you start, standing up for what you believe in and also helping people. Be sympathetic.
"Don't think too much about life, you're not gonna survive it anyway."
Please don't get me wrong I'm not self-contradiction personified. This applies to doing what is on your mind. Contemplating and eventually losing that moment is not the right way to go. Happy living life. Don't grouse all day! (:
